How to Master YOUR Hardest Skillset in 3 Simple Steps – Success With Larry Felder Blogger

How to Master YOUR Hardest Skillset in 3 Simple Steps

Who likes Scrabble and word association?

Let’s play a quick game right now…

What comes to mind when you hear the following names?

  • Amelia Earhart
  • Charles Lindberg
  • Jacqueline Cochran
  • Jimmy Doolittle
  • Chuck Yeager
  • Neil Armstrong
  • Alan Shepard
  • John Glenn

Even if you’re not an aviation buff, chances are you’ve heard these men and women’s deeds…

  • American woman aviation pioneer
  • First solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean
  • One of the most prominent racing pilots of her generation
  • Awarded the Medal of Honor as commander of the Doolittle Raid, a bold long-range retaliatory air raid on the Japanese mainland during WWII
  • First human to fly faster than the speed of sound
  • First man to land on the moon
  • First American to travel into space
  • First American to orbit the Earth

Now you may not be able to name the specific day these great deeds where accomplished…

But here’s the tricky question…

Can you name the decade?

How about the year?

Drawing a blank?

Don’t worry: anyone who isn’t an aviation buff like me can find themselves in the same pickle.

This shows what I want to discuss today, and that’s the topic of MASTERY.

These great aviators weren’t just ordinary people they were pioneers and visionaries that contributed greatly to the dawn of aviation.

They did things no one had ever done before.

And they left an indelible impression on every aviator who followed them, including my aviation career in the US Air Force.

When you’re a master of your craft, people immediately identify your work.

This principle applies to becoming a Network Marketing Pro also.

And guess what…

YOU can achieve the same level of mastery with your business as the great aviators did with theirs.

How…

Mastered your craft.

Now, I know, mastery might seem like something waaay off in the distant future.

If you’re anything like most of people, you’re more likely in the amateur camp, learning the ropes and constantly on the hunt for fresh ideas to grow your business.

And there is nothing wrong with that!

In fact, it’s great news; because you’re on the right track.

Soaking up knowledge like a sponge is exactly what you need to do as you grow in our profession.

That said, no one wants to be stuck in “student” status forever, right?

Your goal in our profession is to find the right program and mentorship that allows you to mature into a full-fledged professional networker.

Training is a means to an end…

After all, mastery should be the end-game of any business owner who wants to be recognized as a leader by their prospects and peers alike.

So how do you escape the realm of being a perpetual student?

…and become a master of your craft?

Is that sort of dramatic change possible for everyone in the first place?

You might think mastery is all about talent but that’s rarely the case.

In fact, there are three simple steps to put yourself on the path toward mastery, all of which are probably much easier than you think.

And keep this in mind…

Just as you’re hungry for new knowledge, your prospects are also looking for someone to teach them that knowledge.

Unfortunately, so many networkers fail to achieve mastery because they get stuck in the wrong mindset.

If you know the secrets…

Mastery is within your grasp.

No matter how much you currently have on your plate, there are three simple steps you can take today to become a leader instead of a follower.

Starting with…

Really; just push the throttles forward and get started!

Maybe it’s simple to say, but you have to start somewhere.

Every “master,” in the world of network marketing started at square one.

Think you have to be born brimming with greatness?

Think the ability to make your mark has an expiration date?

No it doesn’t.

  • Amelia Earhart served as a Red Cross nurse’s aide in Toronto, Canada and spent her early years just watching pilots in the Royal Flying Corps train at a local airfield. But she went on to become one of the most famous pilots of all time.
  • Neil Armstrong was born poor on a farm in mid America. But worked hard to overcome the poverty and become the first man to walk on the moon.
  • Jimmy Doolittle’s concepts on combat airpower where totally rejected by the military establishment of the time. Yet he went on to conduct a historic air raid that changed the direction of World War II.

The list goes on and on.

Although we all come from different backgrounds and circumstances, we all have to start from scratch and work our way up.

As a business owner you should embrace this challenge and never be ashamed of where you are.

Don’t let doubt or the lack of upline support hold you back.

It’s never too late to place yourself on the path to become that sought after PRO.

And you can’t assume your time will never come if you never start.

Seriously…

The person who spends an hour a day during their free time plugging away at their business is light years ahead of the person sitting on their hands waiting for something to fall in their lap.

Once you start getting your hands dirty, you have nowhere to go but up.

Despite popular belief, being a master isn’t about being struck with inspiration nor having brilliant insight.

It’s about going through the process.

It’s about the daily grind; growing and learning; trial and error.

As a mentor of mine once said:

“Know the rules before you break them.”

If you look at the pinnacle of our famous aviators you will notice the success they are known for is a far cry from their early beginnings.

As is the case of all aviators they were students before they soloed.

Jimmy Doolittle’s early aviation career was fought with miss-steps and new ideas that where not accepted as gospel.

This sort of situation applies to new networkers also.

As we start our mastery we imitate old-school tactics.

Then over time, we figure out how to take these tactics, improved upon them, and make them unique to our style, but it doesn’t happen overnight.

Here is a news flash: no one starts out as an “original.”

A master doesn’t bypass years of painstaking skill development, hard work, and experimentation.

Instead, they embrace it.

You’ve probably heard of the 10,000-hour rule, right?

You know the claim you have to do something for 10,000 hours before you truly “master” it?

Whether or not you subscribe to that belief, there’s no denying becoming a master takes time.

Thus, successful people must learn the habits of success.

Creativity doesn’t fall from the sky, it comes from work.

If you find yourself dismayed about the concept of putting thousands of hours into mastery, don’t despair.

Instead, just get going - Take the next step.

Each commitment you make brings you one step closer toward mastery.

And making that initial commitment is what’s going to set you apart from other networkers in the long-run.

Besides, there are tons of other ways to save time in pursuit of be coming a master (but we’ll get to that soon enough).

Finally, it’s crucial to understand the most important aspect of mastery is coming into your own.

Developing your style, become YOU, INC.

Your unique flavor that nobody can get anywhere else.

Just like an aviator has their signature maneuver, network marketers find their voice which makes them totally distinct in the market place.

And how do they find that voice?

You guessed it.

By doing.

Creativity is often overrated.

It’s not a magical spark that’s going to help you become an online network marketing PRO but practice and the occasional jolt of inspiration.

Being the first human to set foot on the moon was the result!

To make his dream a reality took years of skill development and practice.

Similarly…

Your style will develop through your personal process of “doing.”

You might not have the slightest clue of where your unique style will come from but it is there.

It’s just a matter of time (and doing) until it comes to you.

And once you actually get started, the path becomes so much clearer.

So, what are you waiting for?

YOU think time is on your side?

Think again!

Networkers are often daunted by the idea of not having enough time to do everything that needs to get done.

It never feels like there’s enough hours in the day, right?

Well, maybe it’s time to look beyond the clock, because unfortunately the main issue facing most networkers isn’t lack of time…

It’s lack of focus and a strategy to maximize your time.

Take finding prospects for example, which is hands down the #1 challenge facing most networkers.

Old school techniques although successful are incredible time consuming.

And there are tons of other ways to save time in pursuit of becoming a network marketing master.

One way, and the method that launched my business from student to master, is the strategy of Attraction Marketing.

So to move from a novice networker to a skilled networker who is ready to conduct and teach solo flights.
